The National Payments Corporation of India, Razorpay, and OpenAI have come together to introduce "Agentic Payments". This new partnership aims to explore artificial intelligence driven commerce across India. This collaborative effort seeks to create a seamless, conversational way to complete digital transactions.
This initiative, currently in pilot phase, is designed to allow users to complete payments without exiting the AI app, where they discover and select products. It will combine Razorpay's digital finance tools, the NPCI's UPI infrastructure, which handles billions of transactions monthly, and OpenAI's to offer improved shopping experiences to users in the coming days.
